[Often when we are in trouble, we think that we get some relief by complaining; but much better than this – WE GET JOY, BY PRAISING. Let our complaints, therefore, be turned into thanksgivings!] I will sing of the LORD’s great love FOREVER; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations. I WILL DECLARE THAT YOUR LOVE STANDS FIRM FOREVER, that you have established your faithfulness in heaven itself.” (Psa. 89:1-2) [The fact that God’s mercies are inexhaustible and his truth is unbreakable; so this must be the matter of our joy and praise: “I WILL SING OF THE MERCIES OF THE LORD FOREVER”!] “WHO IS LIKE YOU, LORD GOD ALMIGHTY? YOU, LORD, ARE MIGHTY, and your faithfulness surrounds you. You rule over the surging sea; when its waves mount up, you still them.” (Psa. 89:8-9) [The works of God are wonders even to those that are best acquainted and most intimately familiar with them; the more God’s works are known the more they are admired and praised. THIS SHOULD MAKE US LOVE HEAVEN, AND LONG TO BE THERE, that there we shall have nothing else to do but TO PRAISE GOD AND HIS WONDERS.] “Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, LORD. THEY REJOICE IN YOUR NAME ALL DAY LONG; they celebrate your righteousness. For you are their glory and strength, and by your favor, you exalt our horn [symbolically power].” (Psa. 89:15-17) [A great truth presented here in general, That ALL THOSE WHO LIVE A LIFE OF COMMUNION WITH GOD ARE CONSTANTLY SAFE UNDER HIS PROTECTION, and may, therefore, preserve a holy calmness and confidence of mind at all times!] ”Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High WILL REST IN THE SHADOW OF THE ALMIGHTY. I will say of the LORD, “He is MY REFUGE and MY FORTRESS, MY GOD, in whom I trust.” (Psa. 91:1-2) [The doctrines of God, faithfully preached, are the mirror; he who hears cannot help but discover his own character! SO LET US HEAR THE WORD AND BE CHANGED!] “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. DO WHAT IT SAYS. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it–not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it–THEY WILL BE BLESSED IN WHAT THEY DO.” (Jam. 1:22-25)

THE MORE WE DO YOUR WORD, THE MORE WE BECOME LIKE YOU!

Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that WE WILL BE BLESSED IN WHAT WE DO!
