[By rightly dividing the word of truth, we understand that we must remain in the true doctrine, and then teach that doctrine to everyone we know; and, according to our Lord’s figure of speech, giving each his portion of meat in due season – learn to give milk to babes, strong meat to the full grown, comfort to the unhappy, rebuke to the irregular and careless; essentially, finding out the necessities of the hearers, and presenting the word so as to meet those necessities!] “Study, be eager and do your utmost to present yourself approved to God [tested by trial], a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth.” (2 Tim. 2:15)  [John tells us that “the Word (Jesus) was made flesh and came to dwell among us! (See John 1:14)] “For the word of God is ALIVE AND ACTIVE. Sharper than any double-edged sword, IT PENETRATES even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; IT JUDGES the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” (Heb. 4:12) [Paul tells these saints: “you received the doctrine of God, and knew that it was not anything made-up by man, but came immediately from God himself, we are only his messengers declaring what God had revealed to us. And we have the complete proof that we have not believed in vain; for this doctrine, under the power and influence of the Holy Spirit, has worked very powerfully in us, filling us with light, life, and holiness!”]  “For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children, encouraging, comforting and urging you TO LIVE LIVES WORTHY OF GOD, who calls you into his kingdom and glory. And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God…you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, THE WORD OF GOD, WHICH IS INDEED AT WORK IN YOU who believe.” (1 Thess. 2:11-13) [Jesus told the Jewish leaders after healing the lame man at the pool of Bethesda!] “You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. THESE ARE THE VERY SCRIPTURES THAT TESTIFY ABOUT ME…” (John 5:39) [So, we hide God’s word in our heart because…] “They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb. By them your servant is warned; IN KEEPING THEM THERE IS GREAT REWARD.” (Psa. 19:10-11)

LET US HIDE GOD’S WORD IN OUR HEART; THEN “KEEP” IT!

Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that THE WORD OF GOD IS MORE PRECIOUS THAN GOLD, THAN MUCH PURE GOLD!
