THE GOOD NEWS THAT BRINGS REAL PEACE AND GREAT JOY!

“

hat night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! And you will recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.” Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God and saying, “Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased” (Luke 2:8 - 14 (NLT).

ver two thousand years ago, on a cold wintery night this phenomenal announcement was echoed by an angel on the hillside of Bethlehem. This announcement about the Savior, the Messiah, Jesus Christ brings with it “Good News” great joy, and peace. Today, as a result all who truly accept Him can experience real peace even in a

world that is in turmoil and war.

In light of this incredible story and what it means to us as a family, we take this opportunity to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas. Our prayer and sincere wishes for you in 2010 is best expressed in Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1:17-19.

Let me take this opportunity to thank you for your prayers and encouragements since assuming this new assignment back on the continent of Africa as Africa Area Presbyter. As with all new assignment, there are usually some challenges; however, God has been good! He provides us with the needed grace, courage and patience. My wife and I feel quite resolute about the future, and what the Lord would have us to do on the continent.

Since our appointment, I visited the following countries providing leadership training, mentorship and preaching the Good News: Ghana, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Benin, Congo-Brazzaville and Togo. The Lord has blessed greatly in these times of sharing, in fact, I am scheduled to return in 2010 God’s willing to do similar harvest work. I have been involved in the transitional process of two new French groups expressing their desires to join the Church of God of Prophecy; these groups are in the countries of Togo and Cameroon respectively. Once the process is completed we could see approximately seven to eight thousand (7,000/ 8,000) new members added to the Church of God of Prophecy. Yes, the Lord is at work and we can truly say that we are experiencing the fulfillment of St. John 4: 38 “I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.”

My wife was able to be with me on the last trip for 2009. We participated in two national conventions: Cameroon and Togo.

We are thankful to our immediate family, Rosemarie, Adrian, Nadine, Floyd and our very special and only granddaughter Kyra for their understanding and support.

We would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to the International Offices for their vote of confidence and their unrelenting support to us.

Our vote of thanks to the General Presbyter Bishop Sherman O. Allen, Africa Administrative and Finance Committee, all the National Overseers and Field Secretaries on the continent for your prayer and support.

Special thanks to the National Overseer and wife of Canada West, Bishop Walter & Claudia Doroshuk and all the wonderful saints from that area for their prayerful support. We would like to specially thank Bishop Vibert & Minister Lucille Dawkins and the Calgary local church for their prayers and continuing support over the years.
